Who doesn't love some avocados? For me, avocado is my go to fruit daily. It has this creamy texture and delicious, over flowing with numerous health benefits.
After breaking my fast I usually like to blend an avocado, adding unsweetened almond milk with some walnuts as my go to shake, this helps me by feeling fully energized.
To begin with avocados are a great source of vitamins C, E, K, and B-6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium and potassium. They also provide lutein, beta carotene and Omega-3 fatty acids.
When I started my weight loss journey I learned that avocados are full of healthy and beneficial fats (omega-3) that helped to keep me full and satisfied. The truth is that fats takes longer to digest than carbohydrates and proteins, this was a trick i used to set to my brain to turn off my appetite.
So in my opinion, if your trying to loose weight and add healthy fats in your diet, don't be afraid of avocado, as it is a monounsaturated fat which is the most healthiest fat lauded with anti-inflammatory benefits, increasing good cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease.
Now go ahead and try to add avocados in your daily meal or add them to any snack and let me know your experience with it. Trust me your body will thank you later.
